Helene Fischer is the daughter of Peter Fischer (then the Soviet Union) and Maria Fischer. She was born on the Siberian coastline in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Her father was a physical teacher as was her mother, an engineer working at an engineering school. Joseph Stalin deported Volga Germans to Siberia by forcible means in 1941. Her grandparents' parents have been Volga Germans. In 1988 at the age of four, she left along with her parents as well as her six year older sister to West Germany, Wollstein Rheinland-Palatine. Helene Fischer was a student of acting and singing at the Frankfurt Stage & Musical School in West Germany for three years following she finished high school. Helene has appeared in Darmstadt's Staatstheater as well as Frankfurt's Volkstheater during her time at this institution. Florian Silbereisen is her partner since May 2008. In October 2011 Fischer was given her own wax figure in the Berlin Madame Tussauds museum. Professionally, during Fischer's time at Stage & Musical School, her mother secretly copied a demo disc with six of Fischers songs to various recording studios in order to see how they react professional musicians. Fischers first performance on stage occurred on 14th may 2005 in a TV show on ARD. The duo was Florian Silbereisen. They later joined forces as the partners. The singer has been awarded 17 Echo Awards, including the Goldene Henne award 7 times 3 Bambi Awards, as well as the Krone der Volksmusik award 4 times. Each of her albums has been certified as multiple gold and double platinum, and triple.
